Today is a glorious day to be in the land of the living.

When we talk about health, our gut health is an important factor in maintaining a strong immune system. The immune system and gut are closely linked. 70 to 80 percent of the immune tissue is situated in the digestive track.

The goal is to feed the gut foods that carry good bacteria. Fermented foods are foods that have been through a process of lactofermentation in which natural bacteria feed on the sugar and starch in the food creating lactic acid. This process preserves the food, and creates beneficial enzymes, b-vitamins, Omega-3 fatty acids, and various strains of probiotics.
